How to play Powerball® Powerball® is a multi-state jackpot game. Drawings are held Wednesdays and Saturdays at 10:59 p.m. During the drawing, six numbers are drawn: five white ball numbers and the red Powerball® number. Matching all six numbers wins the jackpot. There are eight other ways to match and win prizes up to $1 million.

How to Play Powerball®. Get a Powerball playslip from your favorite Texas Lottery® retailer or use the Texas Lottery® App to create a Powerball® play. Select five (5) numbers from 1 to 69 in the upper play area and select one (1) Powerball number from 1 to 26 in the lower play area of the playboard or mark the 'QP' box and the terminal will select your numbers. Nebraska Powerball 4/2/20 - Following the April 8, 2020, drawing, Powerball's starting jackpot and the rate at which the advertised jackpot grows will be determined by game sales and interest rates. This change is due to lower nationwide sales during the coronavirus health emergency. Powerball® costs $2 per play. How to Increase Your Winnings - Add Power Play
For an extra $1 per play, you can add the Power Play option and the second prize is always $2,000,000! Along with the 2, 3, 4, and 5X multipliers, a new 10X multiplier option will be offered when the jackpot is $150,000,000 or less. The 2, 3, 4, or 5X multipliers will be offered at all jackpot levels. Mark the Power Play box on your play slip or ask the sales associate to add the Power Play option.

Powerball tickets can be purchased daily. The cut off time for ticket sales is 9:50 PM (ET) on the day of the draw. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM (ET). You can watch the live Powerball drawings every Wednesday and Saturday on WGAM, Fox 23 and WABI.
